Tool testing system up to 3,000 N·m

This tool testing unit supports checking of tools in application range up to 3,000 N·m.

 

Various kinds of tool specimen are checked for their torque limits, e.g. ratchets, open-end or double box wrenches, wrench inserts, four-way rim wrenches, adaptors, bits and further tool elements.

The checking unit layout is based on a rigid aluminium frame. The pivotable operator shield allows free access to the set up area of the specimen.

The main axis is aligned vertically thus allowing easy operation even of big four-way rim wrenches, ratchets and open-end or double box wrenches. The vertical slide movement of 400 mm of the drive unit also allows testing of long adaptors and big size four-way rim wrenches.



The layout of the clamping devices for specimen allows very flexible adoption to varying geometric conditions of tool types. Pneumatically clamped slides on both sides of the drive unit will provide any support for wrenches or also take up fixing units for adaptors or wrench inserts.

The checking range varies from 40 up to 3,000 N·m, applying 3 different integrated torque sensors.

The 3,000 N·m sensor stays fixed for all measurements. The sensors 1,000 N·m and 200 N·m are inserted fast and easily for tasks with the smaller measurement ranges.

The automatic sensor recognition excludes application of unsuitable sensor range. Specimen with less than 40 N·m may be checked too, applying optional sensors with concerning smaller ranges.



The control of test process and measurement values is executed by SCHATZ® ANALYSE-system model nr. 5413-2777 in alliance with the powerful software testXpert®. Manifold single checking steps may be combined to individual and also tool related checking processes. Starting up with checking torque and automatic release is possible as well as automatic checking procedure of all cogs of ratchets, as well as life cycle tests of specimen with e.g. 20,000 cycles in both directions. Charging the specimen up to rupture or only till start of breakdown may be chosen easily.

Individual reports with description of the testing jobs and requested measurement figures and graphs are edited by support of the software.
