Warming up!

The well-tried SCHATZ®-ANALYSE System for testing screws and fastening elements has now been adapted for special test purposes, thus providing the possibility, as an option, of analysing measurement sequences for torque, pre-stress, thread or head moment, rotation angles, etc., on screw fastenings at higher temperatures.

In this case, the actual temperature is recorded together with the fastening sequence.

The system is equipped with a specific mechanical device that includes a thermal chamber for temperatures of up to 150°C. During the measurement sequences, the pre-stress/thread moment sensor is located in the thermal chamber, and it is specially designed for these high temperatures.

For measurements at room temperature, the sensor can easily be taken out of the chamber and placed on the additional carriage for standard use.

Of course, all the analytical possibilities of the standard SCHATZ®-ANALYSE System are also available in this configuration: overall, head and thread µ friction coefficients, measurement range from M 5 to M 20,
5 - 1000 Nm, 10 - 300 kN, and rotation speeds of up to 240 rpm.

Standard measurement channels such as overall torque, thread moment, pre-stress, rotation angle and temperature can be completed with other measured quantities such as screw length. The system has a modular structure enabling it to be equipped with up to 30 measurement channels or modules as required, to record all types of analogue or incremental signals.

Another advantage of the system lies in its very high sampling rates, which enable it to record fast processes. The automatic sensor recognition procedure prevents errors due to incorrect sensor selection. Active sensors (e.g. +/- 5V) or passive ones (DMS) can be connected to provide all types of analyses, such as screw elongation, temperature, etc.

The measurement sequence is put online during the fastening or measurement process and it is easy to display or print analyses of individual measurement values and graphics using the powerful testXpert® software.
